Ampofo took on Payroll duties this past year and is responsible for processing over 100 million dollars annually. Ampofo's work as Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Payroll Analyst is a great example of his ability to collaborate well with others and how he contributes beyond his immediate level of responsibility. Ampofo continues to soak what he can and is on the precipice of participating in The Bureau of Health Workforce's Aspiring Leader Program as he has his sights set on a supervisory role in 2025.

Background

Ampofo Mensah Jr. son of Ghanaian immigrants turned American Citizens continues his fervent efforts towards International and Domestic Public Service. Hailing from the Bronx, NY Ampofo attended the illustrious Frederick Douglass Academy in Harlem, NY where he believes it all began. Binghamton University's Political Science Program continued to lay the seeds of an individual whom had a serious passion on history, sustainability, and capacity building. Due to his unique American experience Ampofo was aways intrigued on providing assistance to the down trodden wherever they may be. A Graduate of Honors at Arizona State Universities Thunderbird School of Global Management, the vanguard of global leadership, management, and business education for the digital age. Prior to Ampofo's Business School journey he was fortunate enough to be the first individual in his family to be accepted into the Peace Corps.The official goal of the Peace Corps is to assist developing countries by providing skilled workers in fields such as education, health, entrepreneurship, women's empowerment, and community development. Ampofo saw Peace Corps toward being the stepping stone into Public Service. Ampofo is now 5 years into his Federal Government career assisting within the Department of Health, specifically the Health Resources and Services Administration providing Compliance and Payroll assistance for a national loan repayment program available to registered nurses and advanced practice registered nurses, such as nurse practitioners, working in a public or private nonprofit Critical Shortage Facility. Ampofo continues to be inspired and still has his sights set on the State Department as well as the Foreign Service as he has told many colleagues, brothers, and professors long before.
